The eGbR can change its legal form while preserving its identity and can participate in mergers, divisions and changes of legal form under the Transformation Act (UmwG).

Since the MoPeG, registration in the partnership register has been a prerequisite for land register entries in favour of a GbR – many partnerships have not yet reacted.

Higher Regional Court of Cologne (order of 24 April 2024): The suffix "eGbR" may also appear within the name – for reasons of legal certainty, placing it at the end is nevertheless recommended.
