MoPeG: Change of Status and Transformations of the eGbR

As a result of the Act to Modernise the Law on Partnerships (MoPeG), an identity-preserving change of status (Statuswechsel) between the various legal forms of partnership is now possible. This allows a registered civil-law partnership (eGbR) to change into a partnership company (Partnerschaftsgesellschaft) or a commercial partnership (Personenhandelsgesellschaft) and vice versa.

In addition, the eGbR can participate in mergers, divisions and changes of legal form in accordance with the provisions of the Transformation Act (Umwandlungsgesetz, UmwG).
